I know I promised a tutorial and I am still hoping to have it up soon. In the meantime, things have been crazy around here. The worst of it though being that this morning I found myself at the ER at 2 a.m. Last night when Colton was getting ready for bed, he poked himself in the eye with a toy and was very upset and crying. We put some ice on it and then he fell asleep. Fast forward to 1 a.m. and he was up and crying in hysterics about his eye hurting and not being able to see (open it) so we decided that since it was still hurting him so much 5 hours later that a trip to the ER was necessary. There, they were able to numb his eye up long enough to be able to take a look at it. They put some dye-drops in there and used a black light and were able to see a long scratch across his cornea all across the entire surface of his eye. No wonder he was in pain! With some Motrin, antibiotic ointment into his eye and a prescription to fill, we were on our way back home in less than an hour. He spent the rest of the night sleeping next to me whimpering and crying in his sleep. Its now 10 in the morning and he is still sleeping. I always tell my boys that sleep is the best medicine you can give your body when it is sick. Once he is up, we will be off to the pharmacy and then visit a friend, who I know will make him feel better just with her hugs.
Here are a few pictures of some spoon pendants I completed yesterday. Some of these are finished and some need to be embellished. The "I love you a bushel and a peck" is my most popular pendant right now. The other two being "Wild at heart" and "You are my sunshine."
Tomorrow I will be setting up for a show and before that I will be making a trip to the airport and back since my husband is leaving for his Army Reserves weekend. Then its a show on Saturday and football on Sunday and then back to the airport on Sunday night. A busy weekend it will be!

What a scary night, but hopefully your son will be on the mend. Love my spoon that you made "Have Faith". Wearing it today.
Question... what type of spoon works best? Or does it matter?
Any time there is an injury to the eye, it can be very scarey. My grandson had that to happen couple of years ago - had to wear a patch a few days and he thought that was neat.
Sounds like a busy weekend ahead. Hope you do well at the sale.
Oh, poor Colton! I am so sorry he was feeling so badly. I love your new pieces, Sarah!
Thankful Colton is OK!
Love your new spoon pendants... my favorites are "LOVE YOURSELF INSIDE OUT", "FIND THE JOY IN THE JOURNEY" and "NOT ALL THAT WANDER ARE LOST"..
It's never fun when our babies r hurt... Hopefully the pain won't last long
Poor Colton, poor you. Hope you're both taking it easy today.
OUCH...it sure hurts us "moms" as well as our kids when they get hurt.
Fun new pendants!

Next month I will definitely come over to Bottoms Up and see the old family. You need to come over to Brocante Bliss whenever you get a chance :).
Hope all is well!!
