Its been a little while since I have hosted a swap and since I have been in a jewelry designing mode, I have decided to host a bead swap.
Details: You will send your partner 30 pretty and good quality beads, such as freshwater pearls, Czech glass, vintage beads, gemstones, etc. (Please note that the beads need to be good quality beads, no plastic or cheap wood beads please.) You will also provide one special focal piece, such as a pendant, vintage rhinestone piece or old medals and medallions to be repurposed, soldered charm, etc. (Again I must ask that the focal piece not be plastic or cheap wood). You may include extras, such as a clasp or findings, but this is not required.
Because presentation matters, you will package up the beads in a pretty embellished box or wrapping. I know when I participate in swaps, the packaging is always the icing on the cake when receiving a swap.
I will be sharing some different ideas for packaging in the next few weeks.
Deadlines: Sign ups will be open for two weeks and will close on May 9th. You will receive your partners' information on May 11th. Deadline for mailing your beads will be June 1st. On June 15th, I would like to have a little blog party showcasing the beads you have received and if you have had the chance, what you designed out of the beads you received (not required). I will be posting links of all the blogs who participate on June 15th.
To sign up, please email me at mysocalledjunkylife@yahoo.com with the following information:
1. Name-
2. Address-
3. Email address-
4. Blog address-
5. Favorite colors, mediums when designing jewelry, or any other pertinent information (this will help me match up partners)-
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!
(The beads and findings shown in these pictures include white freshwater pearls, antique mother of pearl beads, white faceted freshwater pearls, silver freshwater baroque pearls, vintage Saint Mary medal, vintage crucifix salvaged from an old necklace, vintage paste rhinestone balls salvaged from old earrings and a paste rhinestone clasp salvaged from an old glass pearl necklace.)

I think this is SO cool! I follow your blog, but neglect mine... However, I would LOVE to participate since my website and etsy shop are refashioned vintage jewels!
Love this beautiful swap! My e-mail is on its way!
Hi Sarah. Just wanted to check whether or not you've sent out swap info. I haven't had an e-mail and I'm worried that I've missed it. Would you let me know? Clair x
