Petitie Bead Box Swap Reveal
When I read on Cassandra's blog that she was hosting a bead swap I signed up immediately! I was lucky to be a part of two groups, which meant twice the beads!! For a look at what I sent my partners see this post here.
My first box is from Bryanna. She sent me my beads in these cute little vintage boxes.
And inside I found this gorgeous mix of pink, crystal and pearl beads! I love the vintage wire embedded beads - they are amazing!
Terri sent me this beautiful aqua box (she knows how much I love aqua!) embellished with beautiful shells.
Inside was a beautiful mix of pink, white and aqua beads along with a pretty vintage rhinestone scatter pin. Its hard to tell, but she also sent these pretty blue flower lamp work beads as well!
And I almost forgot to show you the beautiful hand painted rose pendant that she sent too. Beautiful!
Cari sent me this beautiful aqua box (AQUA!!! YES!!) embellished with vintage mother of pearl buttons.
Inside is a wonderful assortment of beads. I love the vintage glass ring that she included - it is amazing!!
Karen sent me a beautiful box embellished with a vintage millinery flower (with aqua buttons and seambinding).
The beads she sent included some gorgeous lamp work beads and a pair of vintage rhinestone earrings with gorgeous aqua stones!
Dollybelle sent me this amazing beautiful embellished box. I feel like I can say that I have a Dollybelle original!
Inside was treasures galore, with cameos and lots of pink and aqua beads!
My last partner was Cassandra. She sent one of her beautiful fabric and embellished boxes and I had to take a few pictures to share with you all the gorgeous vintage laces and fabrics she used when making this box.
Inside the box was this lovely mix of beads. She sent the most adorable cupcake lamp work bead and some pretty pale pink shell beads.
I decided that with this wonderful assortment of beads, I wanted to make some pieces that I could remember the swap by. As a jewelry designer, I find that I don't actually design a lot of pieces for me to keep. If you can't tell yet, I adore aqua - its my favorite color, with pink coming in second, so I decided to make a long simple wire-wrapped necklace using some of the aqua, white and cream beads that I was sent.
The great thing about this necklace is that its long so I can later some other necklaces with it, or it looks fabulous alone with a summery tank. I am also making another necklace with some of the pink beads, and I will share that with you once I am done.
I just wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who sent me beads in this swap! I love everything and it has also opened my eyes to some beads that I normally wouldn't use in my designs, that I now have ideas to use them with. I guess I feel in a sense that this bead swap has helped me grow as an artist and that I think is the most amazing part of this entire swap!!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Your necklace does the beads justice!!
The beads were really pretty, but it's how you utilized them in the necklace that really made me go WoW!!

Wow! So many beautiful boxes of beads!
Your necklace is gorgeous! Love the aqua and whites.
This whole swap is mind-blowing. I love the boxes and the incredible selection of beads. What you have made is just beautiful. I understand how you never make much for yourself. I, too, have that problem, though my daughter who beads with me makes things all the time!
I am a Silver Bella, too. Hope to meet you there. I see that Shelia Rumsey taught you class, you lucky! Tabitha is in the sachet swap I am in. I am taking a soldering class at the end of the month (only my second) as I am taking one of Sally Jean's classes at SB...yikes!
Stop over and see us if you would like. Our blog is pretty new...about five months old!
