I love swaps and I always enjoy participating in a wide variety of types of swaps. I got to thinking about the wide variety of jewelry artists that I love and admire and thought why not host a bead swap!
There are so many different jewelry designers out there that use different mediums when creating their pieces. I personally prefer to design pieces with vintage rhinestones, religious medals with lots of freshwater pearls and pretty pastel glass and gemstone beads. But because of my preference I tend to miss out on using other types of mediums, such as ceramic beads, beads with bright bold colors, gorgeous lamp work beads, fabric and fiber, trendy pendants, soldered charms, etc.
The purpose of this swap is to encourage jewelry artists to work with mediums they otherwise may not work with and to create a piece that they will post on their blog.
Details: You will send your partner one centerpiece (this may be a pendant, focal bead, charm, etc.) and 20 coordinating beads. This swap will provide your partner with different mediums that they may otherwise not use. You may choose what to do with the beads, whether if be a bracelet or necklace and you may incorporate your style when designing your piece.
Sign ups will be open for one week. You must have a blog and design jewelry of some sort for this swap. This swap will close on Sunday May 30th. I will email your partner's info to you on June 1st. You will mail out your partner's beads on June 8th. Please send your partner's beads with delivery confirmation/tracking info. If your partner doesn't receive their beads in a timely manner I would like proof that they were sent. Unfortunately in the past there have been those who have not received their swap gifts and I would like to ensure that everyone participating in this swap does in fact get their beads. On June 29th I will post links of all the participant's blogs and we will have a blog party and see everyone's creations!
To sign up, please email me at mysocalledjunkylife@yahoo.com. Please copy and paste the following info when signing up:

So glad I found your blog! I'll be e-mailing you!
I want to play! I'll be sending you an e-mail w/ all my details
Sounds like fun, but I'm not a jewelry designer. I have beads & vintage beads though. Just don't know if I qualify.
So worried a true jewelry person would be very disappointed.
Smiles~
